The 15-member South Africa squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2024 commences on 1 June this year in the USA and West Indies is announced by Cricket South Africa. Fast bowler Anrich Nortje is returned to the side after 1 year. Anrich Nortje was out of the due to a back injury, Recently Cricket South Africa cancelled his central contract along with legendary Quinton de Kock.
Aden Makram, named the new T20 Caption, will lead the South Africa squad in his first big ICC event. Alongside Makram it might be the last World Cup for Quinton de Kock who may retire from international cricket after World Cup in the USA and West Indies. Remember that De Kock retired from ODI Cricket after the 2023 World Cup in India, He left test cricket in 2022.
