Muhammad Amir Returns to International Cricket, Available Himself for T20 World Cup 2024

Muhammad Amir, A day after Imad Wasim took his retirement back, Another Pakistani Pacer Muhammad Amir announced on the Social Media Platform ‘X” that he would be available for the T20 World Cup 2024 to represent Pakistan in the green jersey.

Muhammad Amir played his last T20 match against England in 2020 and he retired from International Cricket the same year in December 2020. Muhammad Amir says he is mentally tortured by the coaches of that time Misbah-ul-Haq and Waqar Yonus, which is why he takes retirement from international cricket.

“I still dream of playing for Pakistan!”

“Life brings us to the point where at times we have to reconsider our decisions. There have been a few positive discussions between myself and the PCB where they respectfully made me feel that I was needed and can still play for Pakistan, and after discussing with family and well-wishers I declare that I am available to be considered for the upcoming T20 WC. I want to do this for my country as it comes before my personal decisions. Donning the green jersey and serving my country has always been, and will continue to be my greatest aspiration.”

Representing Quetta Gladiators in the recent Pakistan Super League 2024, Muhammad Amir was in amazing form he took 10 wickets in 9 matches with 8.41 economy, Besides this his recent performance in foreign leagues was amazing in CPL he performed well, the T20 World Cup will be held this year in which most matches will be played in west indies which suits Amir bowling and he knows very well about the conditions of the pitches.

Muhammad Amir was signed by county Derbyshire, for this season which starts on 5 April but due to his decision back to international cricket, Amir will be unavailable for them because New Zealand will visit Pakistan for 5 matches 20 series. The training camp for the New Zealand series starts today in Kakul and Amir will be part of that camp.
