The Super 8 of the 9th edition of the ICC T20 World Cup will start on June 19 in the West Indies. All the Super 8 matches will be played in the West at four different venues.
This year, the ICC T20 World Cup playing format is slightly complicated. A total of 20 teams participated in the event, which were placed into four groups. The top teams from each group are off to the next round and will compete in the next Super 8 stage for qualification to the semi-finals.
India and the USA qualify for the Super 8 stage from Group 1, where the biggest upset of the World Cup happens when the USA beats Pakistan. Pakistan lost to India in a low-scoring contest and thus was eliminated from the group stage of the event for the first time in T20 World Cup history.
