The Korean Government is accepting applications from international students for Global Korean Scholarships 2024-2025. Global Korean Scholarship is fully funded for Master’s, PhD, and Research programs. A total of 2200 students will be accepted this year.
Global Korean scholarship aims to provide opportunities for international students to study in higher educational institutes in South Korea to enhance their educational skills, and academic careers and deepen relations between Korea and participant countries.

About Global Korean Scholarship

Scholarship period
- Master (1-year Korean language program + 2 years degree program)
- PhD (1-year Korean language program + 3 years degree program)

Eligibility criteria of Global Korea Scholarships 2024-2025
- All international students from NIIED countries
- Minimum 16 years of education for a Master’s degree
- For PhD the minimum Master’s degree
- For post-doctorate doctorial degree is required
- Exchange program and Research Master’s degree is required
- Minimum 80% marks in the previous degree
- CGPA must be above 2.64/4
- Applicant must be under the age of 40 (born after 1 September 1984)
- Applicant must be fit both physically and mentally
- Applicant must check the eligibility criteria of the university because it vary from university to university

There is no specific deadline to apply for the Global Korea Scholarship the deadline varies from university to university and embassy of each country.

There are two ways to apply for Global Korea scholarships
- Embassy track quota (800 scholars from 147 eligible countries)
- University track quota (1400 from the eligible countries)
