The Journey of Afghanistan ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will begin against Uganda the debutants who will play their first ICC World Cup Match on June 3 at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
Afghanistan emerged as a big team in recent years and showed the world its talent by giving tough times to many big teams. Afghanistan have world-class players nowadays to get world cricket attention. With the passion and new talent Afghanistan is showcasing currently it is believed that they will become a big team soon.

Afghanistan is the only new team that qualifies directly for major ICC events, This year Afghanistan qualifies for the 9th edition of ICC T20 World which is hosted by the USA and West Indies.
This 9th edition is a bit more complicated than the previous version of ICC T20 World Cups. This year total of 20 teams will participate which is further divided into four groups. Afghanistan is placed in group C with co-hosts West Indies and other teams New Zealand, Uganda and the newly passionate cricket nation PNG.
Currently, Afghanistan has no ICC trophies and they are struggling the lift their first title. The opening match of the Afghanistan Campaign will be played against Uganda on June 3 at Guyana National Stadium, Providence, Guyana.
The second match of the Afghanistan Group stage will be against New Zealand on June 7 at the same venue,followed by Afghanistan Vs PNG on June 13 at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba.
Pakistan ICC T20 World Cup 2024: Complete Schedule and Fixture
The last group stage match of Afghanistan will be against Co-hosts West Indies on June 17 at Daren Sammy Cricket Stadium, St Lucia.
The top 2 teams will qualify for Super 8 which will face the other group’s top 2 teams. Which led to the semi-finals played on June 26 and 27.
