Imad Wasim Takes His Retirement Back, Return To International Cricket For T20 World Cup 2024
All-rounder Imad Wasim returned to International Cricket takes his retirement back yesterday after meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board( PCB) officials. Imad Wasim announced his retirement last year in November after an issue with PCB for foreign league NOC.
Imad Wasim announced the decision on “X” former Twitter yesterday, Imad says
“I am happy to announce that under meeting PCB officials, I have reconsidered my retirement and am delighted to declare my availability for Pakistan cricket in the T20I format leading up to ICC T20I World Cup 2024,”

“I would like to thank the PCB for reposing trust in me and I would give my very best to bring laurels to my country. Pakistan comes first!”
After his performance in the recent Pakistan Super League by making his team Islamabad United Champion the PCB offices approached Imad to take his decision back as Pakistan needs his services.

Imad created history in the Pakistan Super League by winning three Player of the Match awards in PSL playoffs matches. Imad takes five wickets against Multan Sultans and his 19 is not out to make them a champion.
Imad Wasim represented Pakistan in 66 T20 and 55 ODI matches making 1472 runs and taking 109 wickets in his career, Besides Imad Wasim is part of Pakistan’s winning team in the Champion Trophy 2017. Imad played for Pakistan in the 2016, 2019 and 2021 World Cups. The all-rounder made his international debut against Zambabwy in 2015.
Imad expressed his gratitude to PCB officials for the fruitful meeting and made available himself for selection in the 2024 T20 World Cup. He is willing to be part of PCB central Contracts in T20s.
