China-Pakistan Collaboration For Smart Farm Project ( Water Saving Facilities):
For the “Million Acre Of Green Pakistan Farm project” which is participated by the Chinese water-saving industry ( leader–Tianjin Dayu) irrigation group, Its first batch of equipment has been packed as well as shipped reported by Gwadar pro this Tuesday.
The farmland of 2,000 hectares will be covered and used for planting, and irrigation of corn, tomato, wheat, and other crops by using the first batch of intelligent water and fertilizer integrated equipment. For creating more smart farms in Pakistan this equipment will provide technical support and Pakistan will move toward its Agri-tech trajectory smoothly.
Pakistan Initiative History
Back on July 7, 2023, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif launched the LIMS ( land information and Management system) initiative, this “ Million Acre Of Green Pakistan Farm project” is a response and support to the Prime Minister’s initiative. This initiative aims to promote modern agricultural development, Meet the needs of food for the ever-growing population of Pakistan, and improve agricultural productivity. Pakistan Current Condition:
Pakistan is still going through a chronic water shortage. Besides residential water supply, the country ( Pakistan )devoted three-quarters of water to cultivating its water-intensive crops. According to new statistics, water supply to different crops: 23% of water constitute Wheat, 21% from Rice, 19% from Sugarcane, and 14% from the cotton textile industry.
China (Dayu Tianjin Agricultural Sector Achievement):

China, Dayu group (leader-Tianjin) has made a lot of achievements in disaster early warning, flood prevention, rural sewage treatment, and so on. Pakistan Commercial Counselor in China -Ghulam Qadir said “ We hope to cooperate closely with Dayu in multiple dimensions”.
Cui Jing (Vice president of the Dayu group), said that Pakistani partners are very interested Dayu rural sewage treatment project in Tianjin and the farmer drinking water safety project in Ningxia.
“ if this cooperation is successful, then two of these types of projects will be introduced in Pakistan. Beyond doubt, our prospects for the future will be more border”

Future Prospects:
This bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and China will focus on the long-term development of the mature agricultural experience of “ multidimensional water management”. This will also aid in agricultural water conversation, safe drinking water for farmers, and rural sewage treatment and will become part of China’s previously started longest project “Road and Belt”.
