What is the WMI Scholars program?
WMI Scholars program encourages young people who are willing to catalyze community transformation in developing countries. WMI supports undergraduate students in addressing high challenges and helps them to provide social services during their academic careers to complete their studies. To postgraduate students, WMI provides lifelong support, Special entrepreneurship skills, professional development, community development, grants to start their businesses, community projects support in country-led fellowship programs, online webinars, and conferences. Trough these efforts the WMI fostered global community leaders and social entrepreneurs who are tackling issues of climate change, gender inequality, health disparities, and educational access through community-driven and local approaches resulting in sustainable solutions.
Eligibility criteria for WMI scholars program 2024
Both male and female students are eligible to apply who have:
- Completed secondary school with outstanding grades
- Applicant must be under 35 years of age on March 1, 2024
- Must be studying in country of birth or other developing country
- Must be enrolled in the undergraduate study program
- Applicants who are enrolled in programs that benefit the community will be preferred
- Applicant must serve in their own country after graduation
- Applicants who cannot afford their studies and need financial support
Applicants who are not eligible for the WMI program
- Scholars planning to study in the UK, Australia, USA, Canada, and Western Europe are ineligible to apply
- Student who use AI-generated or plagiarized content in their essay are ineligible to apply

Tips to win the Scholars Program
To become a competitive applicant and win the WMI scholars program here are some tricks and tips to follow:
- Include your experience of Volunteerism and extracurricular activities
- Request two recommendation letters from people who know you personally or professionally
- Collect your academic transcripts, results, and grading system sheets
- Translate all your documents to English if they are not in English
Documents required for WMI Scholars Program 2024
The following documents are required for the WMI Scholars program:
- Clear Passport size photo
- Essay on the given topic (Mentioned in the application form 2024)
- Personal Statement
- New application form 2024
- Official national exam result card
- Secondary school transcripts
- Secondary School grades or Diploma
- Two letters of recommendation
